Mike Nold, Managing Partner
Mike founded Verve Equity Partners as a well-rounded operator, strategy/M&A leader, and private equity investor; with significant experience in digital communications, business services, enterprise technology, leisure resort & entertainment , logistics & distribution, and light industrials. Most recently, Mike was EVP Strategy & Corporate Development for Zayo Group, the largest independent fiber connectivity provider in North America. Prior to that, he served as CEO of Graphic Village, a leading provider of print-marketing, brand strategy, and distribution services. Mike has served as a private equity operating partner and Managing Director for both The Gores Group and Tower Three Partners. Previously, Mike was Vice President, Strategy & Corporate Development for Hewlett-Packard where he led HP’s Corporate Strategy group. He led product marketing for Avanex (now Lumentum), after serving as a management consultant with Bain & Company. He began his career at International Paper as an engineer and manufacturing production manager. Mike has actively served on many boards of directors of private equity portfolio companies and is currently Chairman of 1st Choice Delivery, a leading last-mile logistics provider and portfolio company of Northern Pacific Group.
Mike is a graduate of the University of Michigan College of Engineering and The Wharton School (MBA) of the University of Pennsylvania.
Barry D. Reynolds, Managing Director, Housatonic Partners
Barry founded the San Francisco office of Housatonic Partners in 1998. Previously, he worked with private equity firms including Bain Capital, Texas Pacific Group, and Trident Capital, focusing on information and business services companies. Prior to becoming a principal in the private equity industry, Barry was a Manager with Bain & Company. At Bain, he co-founded the Principal Investor Services practice, consulting to medium and large buyout funds and strategic buyers. Earlier in his career, Barry worked as an engineer for the General Electric Company. Barry is a Director of LQ Digital, Mobile Vascular Physicians, Registria, and Sprout Health.
Barry holds a B.S. from the University of California at Berkeley and an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he was a Ford Scholar.
